Lorenz stated, "Nurses are truly the unsung heroes of our healthcare system," highlighting their dedication during crises and commitment to providing care.
Lorenz emphasized that establishing a formal Nurses Week is a way to honor the legacy and ongoing contributions of nurses today. According to the Ohio Board of Nursing, there are over 300,000 licensed nurses and related health professionals in Ohio.
