State Senator Andrew Brenner | The Ohio Senate
State Senator Andrew Brenner recognized two students from Mount Vernon High School for their accomplishments in the Division I State Wrestling Championship. Ashlynn Brokaw and Alex Taylor each secured titles in their respective weight categories.
"Both of these students have achieved an outstanding accomplishment," said Senator Brenner. "I could not be more proud of these student-athletes and look forward to watching their future endeavors."
Ashlynn Brokaw concluded the wrestling season with a total of 47 victories, claiming the title in the 105-pound weight category. Meanwhile, Alex Taylor, who won in the heavyweight division, is set to participate in the Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro and the World Championships in Athens later this year.
