Congressman Troy Balderson has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. The subcommittee is responsible for overseeing agencies, departments, and programs under the full committee's jurisdiction. Congressman Gary Palmer will take on the role of Chairman.

Balderson expressed his concerns about what he perceives as issues stemming from the current administration. “After four disastrous years of the Biden Administration, Americans are left with a federal bureaucracy built to work against them,” said Balderson. He emphasized his intention to collaborate with Palmer and other colleagues to ensure accountability within the federal government.

Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman-Elect Brett Guthrie commended Balderson’s commitment to oversight and transparency regarding the administration's actions. “Congressman Balderson has shown a commitment to aggressive oversight and transparency of the Biden administration,” Guthrie stated. He noted that Balderson understands how government actions impact communities nationwide.

Palmer also extended his congratulations, expressing confidence in Balderson's capabilities in his new position. “Congratulations to Congressman Balderson on being selected as Vice Chair for the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee,” said Palmer.

Balderson joined the Energy and Commerce Committee in January 2023. He is set to become Chairman of the House Energy Action Team when Congress convenes in January 2025.
