State Representative Brian Lorenz (R-Powell) has announced the allocation of $400,000 to the Delaware County Land Reutilization Corporation for redevelopment purposes.

The funds will be used to remediate a former convenience store on Dublin Road. The site, which previously operated as a gas station, requires cleanup of underground storage tanks and other environmental risks. It will be transformed into a coffee shop and charcuterie board preparation kitchen, creating six new jobs and retaining eight existing positions.

“Small businesses are the backbone of local economy,” Lorenz stated. “When the state can fund the opportunity for a small business to thrive, that is a win.”

The funding is part of the state’s Brownfield Remediation Program, which has awarded more than $107 million across Ohio to promote economic growth through the redevelopment of abandoned and dilapidated properties.
