U.S. Representatives Troy Balderson (OH-12) and Tim Walberg (MI-5) have introduced a resolution congratulating the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) on its 100th anniversary this year. The AMA, based in Pickerington within Ohio’s 12th Congressional District, advocates for the rights and interests of over 200,000 motorcycle enthusiasts across the United States.

Balderson and Walberg serve as co-chairs of the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus, a group focused on raising awareness for motorcyclists and improving safety for riders.

“Like millions of Americans and thousands of Ohioans, I love the freedom and thrill of riding motorcycles,” said Balderson. “For one hundred years, the AMA has brought together people who share the same common passion. I congratulate the AMA on this landmark achievement, and I applaud their mission to make the roads safer for all.”

“As a Charter Life Member of the AMA, it was my honor to introduce this resolution to recognize the historic achievement AMA has reached, marking its 100th Anniversary,” said Walberg. “I am proud to have been a part of this fine organization, and consider it a privilege to be counted as one of its many members. I thank my fellow Motorcycle Caucus Co-Chairs, including Representative Balderson, for his partnership on this resolution and other issues of importance to our fellow riders.”

The Congressional Motorcycle Caucus regularly works to raise awareness for motorcycle safety. Co-chairs Balderson and Walberg introduced a resolution this spring recognizing May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. In June, the Caucus held the first annual Ride to Work Day at the U.S. Capitol, which included a ride through Washington before arriving at the front steps of the House of Representatives.
