State Senator Andrew Brenner (R-Delaware) announced that millions of dollars will fund key Capital Budget projects across Senate District 19. This marks the second phase following last week’s announcement of a $350 million investment by the Senate in Ohio communities from the One-Time Strategic Community Investment Fund.

"I am pleased to see significant funding for projects that will truly enhance the quality of life in our district," said Brenner.

Some of the projects funded in Senator Brenner's district include:

- Hoover Reservoir Crew: $1,000,000

- Barn at Stratford Parking Lot Improvement / Expansion: $657,000

- Radnor Township Park Improvements: $160,000

- Center Green Stream Restoration Project: $150,000

- McNamara Park Project: $150,000

- Delaware Arts Castle Improvements: $100,000

- SourcePoint Accessible Family Locker Room: $56,000

- Galena Gardens: $50,000

- Ackerman Nature Preserve: $150,000

The Capital Budget also includes allocations such as $600 million for new construction and facility upgrades at Ohio's public schools and $575 million for local infrastructure projects including roads and water and sewer systems.

The legislature typically approves a Capital Budget every two years to fund necessary improvements to public services and facilities across the state. This includes schools, infrastructure, and mental health and addiction facilities.

The House and Senate introduced similar legislation today that will be vetted in both chambers. For a full list of capital budget projects and updates on this year’s Capital Budget process, follow On the Record.
