The leisure pool section of the City of Delaware pool at Mingo Park remains closed while pool staff considers options to repair a cracked water pipe. The broken pipe was discovered last Friday when a new water pump was installed. The pump and cracked pipe feed the pool's leisure pool section, which includes the slides and water toy area. The pool's other two water areas - the lap pool and diving pool, are open.
Staff is working to make repairs happen as soon as possible. It has reached out to pool maintenance companies and is looking in-house for expertise from Delaware's Public Utilities Department on water line parts and repair methods.
