In an effort to continue to provide a quality, safe experience for pass holders, the Westerville Community Center will be undergoing its annual maintenance period again this August. The aquatics area will be closed from Aug. 1-Sept. 5 while the entire Community Center will be shut down Aug. 22-28.
“While much of the facility is new after our recent expansion, this maintenance period is important for the Center to undergo a deep clean while also providing minor maintenance updates to the facility,” Special Projects Administrator David Chambers said. “While an inconvenience, this is important for us to continue to provide the best experience for our pass holders.”
In addition to the maintenance at the facility, Community Center staff also will be undergoing a series of training sessions to continue to assist pass holders the best way possible.
During the week of the full facility shutdown, the gymnasium, fitness area, adventure fitness and climbing wall all will undergo a thorough dusting and deep cleaning while the senior studio floors will be cleared and minor maintenance and a deep cleaning will take place in the multipurpose rooms. During the time the aquatics area is closed, all pass holders will have full access to Highlands Park Aquatic Center (HPAC).
