City of Delaware recently issued the following announcement.
Did you know that on April 8, 2024, Delaware County will be on the path for a total solar eclipse? In our area, the full eclipse will last about 2 minutes and 30 seconds, starting at
3:11 p.m. This month, a variety of agencies and organizations, including Delaware fire and police, were on a call organized by Delaware County EMA to start planning for the
impact this event will have. Because Delaware County is within a one-day drive of about 70% of the country’s population, our area likely will be a destination for people from around the country, and from around the world, who want to view a total solar eclipse.
