Planning Under Way for 2024 Eclipse

Plan

City of Delaware recently issued the following announcement.

Did you know that on April 8, 2024, Delaware County will be on the path for a total solar eclipse? In our area, the full eclipse will last about 2 minutes and 30 seconds, starting at

3:11 p.m. This month, a variety of agencies and organizations, including Delaware fire and police, were on a call organized by Delaware County EMA to start planning for the

impact this event will have. Because Delaware County is within a one-day drive of about 70% of the country’s population, our area likely will be a destination for people from around the  country, and from around the world, who want to view a total solar eclipse. Only 814 days to go! Read more about the eclipse here
