DELAWARE GENERAL HEALTH DISTRICT, DELAWARE OHIO: Check for Septic System “Symptoms”

Septic

Delaware General Health District, Delaware Ohio issued the following announcement on Dec. 3.

This year has been difficult for all of us, but 2020 may have also been difficult for your septic system!

With more people staying home this year, a lot more water and waste were produced than in years past. That’s why you should be aware and take care of any “symptoms” your septic system may be experiencing, such as slow draining, saturated spots in the yard or frequent mechanical alarms.

Our Residential Services Unit recommends pumping your septic tank and having any mechanical components of your septic system serviced to help prevent premature failure of your system.

A registered service provider, registered pumper or registered installer can help with this! Please visit delawarehealth.org/sewage for contact info on registered contractors within the Health District.
