Delaware General Health District, Delaware Ohio issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.
We have received several questions as to why the number for total hospitalizations fluctuates. This happens for a few reasons:
- They originally were sent to us as living in our jurisdiction and after interviewing, determined them not to be ours.
- They lived here, were hospitalized, and then were discharged to a different jurisdiction.
- Sometimes older adults need to move in with a family member in another jurisdiction or move into a long-term care facility in another jurisdiction, therefore their number is removed from our total hospitalizations.
