The Ohio Senate has approved House Bill 81, a measure aimed at honoring fallen military members, first responders, and elected officials. This legislation includes Senate Bill 97, which was introduced by State Senator Andrew Brenner of Delaware.

Senate Bill 97 proposes naming a portion of State Route 36 between Scioto Township and Ostrander in Delaware County as the "Kris Jordan Memorial Highway."

"Kris was a loving father of three young children, a devoted son to his parents Ralph and Patricia, an avid Ohio State football fan, and a skilled trap shooter," said Brenner. "While we would work together and offer advice to one another during our shared years in elected government, Kris was also my friend of three decades."

Kris Jordan was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. He began his political career as a county commissioner at the age of 25 and later served in both the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate.
