WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Troy Balderson (OH-12) and the entire Ohio Congressional delegation have sent a letter of support to the Ohio Jewish Communities, strongly condemning the recent Hamas terrorist attack against Israel and denouncing all forms of antisemitism. The letter also reiterates their unwavering support for Jewish people in the United States and abroad.

In the letter, the representatives express their solidarity with the Jewish communities affected by the barbaric terrorist attacks committed by Hamas in Israel. They condemn antisemitism in all its forms and stand firmly with Jewish people both at home and abroad.

The representatives acknowledge the heartbreaking images and stories coming out of Israel following the loss of many lives at the hands of Hamas. They recognize that these actions have caused fear and increased antisemitic rhetoric directed at the Jewish state and its people. The Ohio delegation assures the Jewish communities in their state that they stand with them and are ready to offer any assistance their offices can provide.

Furthermore, the representatives affirm their commitment to provide military, economic, and humanitarian aid to support those impacted by the terrorist attacks. They are also dedicated to ensuring the safety of communities across Ohio by providing resources and assistance for security measures around synagogues, community centers, schools, and other important facilities.

The representatives highlight the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP), which received $305 million in fiscal year 2023. This program supports hardening and other physical security enhancements for nonprofit organizations. They emphasize their bipartisan efforts to support programs like the NSGP, which provide Jewish communities across Ohio with security resources to ensure their safety.

In conclusion, the representatives emphasize that there is no room for antisemitism in the nation and that they are dedicated to providing assistance and support to the Ohio Jewish communities during these dire times.

As the letter states, "Now is the time to reiterate, with one voice, that there is no room for antisemitism in our nation. As your friends and elected officials, we are here to provide your communities with any assistance or support that you need during these dire times."
