1st of 4 at Collegiate Invitational Sprint Meet
Senior Owen Kennedy (Columbus/Bishop Hartley) and senior Ezra Ferguson (New Bremen) won events for Ohio Wesleyan at the Collegiate Invitational Sprint Meet on Saturday in Stuart, Fla.
Ohio Wesleyan won the meet with 405½ points to 175½ for Pitt-Bradford. Saint Rose was third with 142 points and Wells finished fourth with 44 points.
Kennedy won the 200 IM in 2:09.40 and finished second in the 50 backstroke, while Ferguson won the 50 butterfly in :24.56 and was second in the 50 breaststroke.
Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Evan Lucas (Cincinnati/Loveland), who placed second in the 50 butterfly; freshman Chase Ellis (Hilliard/Darby), who was second in the 50 freestyle; freshman Mattias Lindberg (Lebanon), who finished third in the 50 butterfly; senior Ian Jarvis (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial), who placed third in the 50 breaststroke; and junior Brian Moskus (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron), who was third in the 50 freestyle.
The Ohio Wesleyan 200 medley relay team of Kennedy, Ferguson, Lucas, and Ellis finished second.
