Help Us Name Our Snow Plows!

The City of Dublin’s SnowGo experience will have a fun upgrade this winter! The City of Dublin is asking community members to help us name our snow plows. This will allow people to follow our plows in real time on the SnowGo dashboard this winter. Viewers will see which snow plow is on which street, according to its name.

From Oct. 17 through Oct.26, community members are encouraged to share their snow plow name ideas via the submission form. The finalists will be revealed on the City’s Facebook page on Oct. 31, and the names that receive the most votes will be assigned to a plow. Voting will be open until Nov. 4, and the final 10 names will be revealed Nov. 7.

To be considered, names must:

  • be non-partisan
  • include nothing derogatory, profane or obscene
By submitting your name suggestion to the City of Dublin, you consent to it being shared and reprinted by the City on its website, social media platforms and the SnowGo platform should your design is selected as the winner.

Additionally, the City is partnering with Dublin City Schools for the paint the plow program. The art classes at each participating school will have the opportunity to name the Plows they Paint. Those plows are in addition to the 10 plows being named by the general public.

Dublin residents, businesses and visitors can access snow and ice information using the SnowGo webpage or via the DublinGo app (available in the App Store or Google Play). Receive timely, weather-related messages on any device at any time and follow plow progress in real time.
