Main Street Delaware Plans a Holly, Jolly December to Remember
Main Street Delaware invites you to shop and celebrate locally this December with a month of holiday events sure to leave you wreathed in smiles.
“Everyone needs to take time to celebrate the season and safely connect with family and friends this year,” says Susie Bibler, Main Street Delaware’s executive director. “We invite you to make Downtown Delaware part of your holiday festivities as you enjoy the decorations, shop the unique stores, and enjoy the many restaurants and coffee shops.”
During December, Main Street Delaware is hosting these special events:
Kick-Off the Holidays: 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 4
Come downtown during December’s First Friday to shop, dine, and enjoy the unveiling of some amazing window displays by our downtown businesses.
Dash for Dasher Scavenger Hunt: Dec. 4-24
Oh, no! Santa has lost Dasher. Explore downtown following Santa’s clues to find his lost reindeer. With your help, Kris Kringle will be able to deliver his gifts this year, helping to ensure a Merry Christmas for boys and girls everywhere. Photos with Santa: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 11, and 18; 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 12, and 19
Little ones won’t be sitting on Santa’s lap this year, but they will be able to share their wish lists and pose for photographs with their favorite jolly old elf. Santa will be at Main Street Delaware’s new Welcome Center, 20 E. William St., on Fridays and Saturdays during December. Kathy Brady of For His Glory Photography will be taking photos by reservation, with prints available to purchase for $10. Holiday Shop Hop: 3 p.m. Dec. 6
