Holiday Tree Disposal (Live)
Live holiday trees are considered yard waste and will be picked up during regularly scheduled yard waste collections.
- Trees must be free of all ornamentation and lighting.
- Remove tree stand.
- Remove tree from plastic tree bag if one was used.
- Cut tree trunk and limbs into 4 ft segments
- Use string or twine to bundle trunk and limbs.
Artificial holiday trees are considered trash and will be picked up during regularly scheduled refuse collections.
- Trees should be completely disassembled.
- Consider donating tree to a local organization, if possible.
- DO NOT place tree in recycling container.
