Santa is making a stop in Powell, collecting holiday wishes and taking selfies! Registration is required for Santa visits, so book your spot today at Powell.RecDesk.com. Registration for Powell residents begins Monday, November 7. If spots are still available, registration will open to non-residents on Monday, November 21. One family member (parent/guardian) should register and then list the total number of participants for their family. Not each family member needs to be registered individually.
Santa’s Gift Shop – 12-6 pm – Council Chambers, City of Powell Municipal Building (47 Hall St.)
Browse one-of-a-kind handmade treasures perfect for holiday gift-giving at Santa’s Gift Shop! Presented by the Powell Chamber of Commerce.
Tree Lighting Ceremony – 6 pm – Village Green Park
Join Santa, Mayor Dan Swartwout, and the Powell Community Band as Village Green Park lights up for the holiday season! Oooo and ahhhh, sing carols, snap a selfie, and take a carriage ride through downtown Powell (4-9pm). Coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider, kettle corn, and cotton candy will also be available for purchase.
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides – 4-9 pm – Village Green Park
Take a horse-drawn tour of downtown Powell and enjoy all the sights of the season. Pickup and dropoff is at Village Green Park.
Shop Local
Consider shopping and dining local this holiday season at Powell’s wonderful downtown businesses. Choose from a wide variety of specialty cuisine (dine in or order out) and pick up those perfect holiday gifts all in charming, downtown Powell. Just be sure to check store hours and specials in advance of your visit!
Santa’s Mailbox
Need to get a message to Santa? Write it all in a letter, be sure to include your mailing address, and drop it in Santa’s mailbox which will be in front of the City of Powell’s Municipal Building (47 Hall St.) from Monday, November 21, through Friday, December 9.
