Learn how invasive plant species cause problems for our environment and native wildlife, then discover how to resist the charms of these invaders and avoid making matters worse. Control methods and native alternatives to this vexing vegetation will also be discussed.

About the Presenters
Mark Dilley and his wife Christine are co-owners of a Westerville-based environmental consulting firm, MAD Scientist Associates, specializing in ecological and wetland consulting. They are also part owners of a native plant nursery, Scioto Gardens, in Delaware. They have been systematically improving their landscape to replace invasive species with native plants, and their property is now a Certified Wildlife Habitat with the National Wildlife Federation.
Mark has nearly 30 years of experience as a field biologist, ecologist, and wetland scientist. He is an EPA-certified Level 3 Qualified Data Collector (QDC) for fish and habitat studies in Ohio, a Certified Senior Ecologist, Certified Ecological Restoration Professional (CERP), and Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS). Mark is also a lecturer at The Ohio State University, where he teaches Wetland Ecology & Restoration.
