City of Westerville recently issued the following announcement.
Officers, New Council members Take Oaths of Office
Westerville City Council announced its 2022-2024 structure during its organizational meeting prior to the first regular meeting of the year on Tuesday, Jan. 4. Councilmembers
began their term Tuesday after taking an oath of office in Council Chambers. Council elected the following members to serve two-year terms as Council Chairperson, Council Vice
Chairperson, Mayor and Vice Mayor:
For the next two years, Michael Heyeck will serve as Council Chairperson; Craig Treneff will serve as Vice Chair; Diane Conley will serve as Mayor; and Kenneth L. Wright will
serve as Vice Mayor.
Also determined at the meeting were appointments of members to numerous committees and boards on which Councilmembers serve. All appointments are listed below and at
www.westerville.org/council.
Dennis Blair, Coutanya Coombs and Megan Reamsnyder were welcomed as incoming Councilmembers, having each won a seat in the November election. Councilmember
Heyeck was returned to his seat for another four-year term.
Westerville City Council consists of seven at-large members elected to four-year overlapping terms in non-partisan elections. Municipal elections are held in odd-numbered years,
with four seats filled in one election and three seats filled in the next election.
