DELAWARE COUNTY, OHIO, SHERIFF'S OFFICE: A Memorial Wall tribute to all law enforcement K9s and their handlers

Award

Delaware County, OHIO, Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.

The future is in good hands – if this teenager is any indication. Eagle Scout applicant R. Carson recently stopped by the Sheriff’s Office to complete his paperwork required for his project: A Memorial Wall tribute to all law enforcement K9s and their handlers – past and present – in Delaware County.

Several years ago (when he was at least a foot shorter than the Sheriff and our deputy), Carson came to us to present his dream project. The dream was to become an Eagle Scout. The project was to pay tribute to all K9s who have ever served in the County. He came up with the idea, crafted the plan, raised thousands of dollars, and is about to make his dream a reality. The Memorial Wall will be produced in the future and when it is completed, we will share it with our social media followers.

We are honored Carson chose law enforcement K9s as the subject of his project. We have been inspired by his tenacity, thoroughness, and passion. #FollowYourDreams #HonorOthers #FourLeggedHeroes
